About the Journal
REDIS: Revista de Estudos do Discurso is a collaborative initiative between two academic and research institutions that have joined efforts to carry out a joint editorial project: the University of São Paulo, through the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages, and Human Sciences (FFLCH-USP), and the University of Porto, through the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP) and the Center for Linguistics(CLUP).
This is a scholarly journal classified at level A4 in the Capes Qualis-Journals, Brazil (2017–2020). It brings together studies in the field of Discourse Studies, aiming to encompass diverse research approaches within this area. REDIS prioritze studies that integrate linguistic analysis.
REDIS is published twice a year (July/December) and receives submissions in two call for papers. The following specify how the issues for 2025 will be organized:
Issue No. 16 (Jul/2025) will be a non-thematic issue. Submitted manuscripts must align with the journal's area of publication, namely Discourse Studies. Submissions are welcome up to May 5th, 2025.
Issue No. 17 (Dec/2025) will be a thematic issue, with manuscript submissions restricted to participants of the Discussion Group "Entre Textos: Diálogos Transatlânticos em Linguística do Texto e do Discurso," organized by the Linguistics Research Centre of NOVA University Lisbon (CLUNL). This thematic issue will be edited by Dr. Ana Sofia Souto (CLUNL/FCT).

Open Access Policy
This journal offers immediate open access to its contents, thus reinforcing the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public contributes to a more democratic access to science worldwide.
Archiving
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create an achiving system shared by the participating libraries, thus enabling them to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration.
