About the Journal
SCOPE
REDIS: Revista de Estudos do Discurso is a collaborative initiative between two academic and research institutions that have joined efforts to carry out a joint editorial project: the University of São Paulo, through the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages, and Human Sciences (FFLCH-USP), and the University of Porto, through the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP) and the Center for Linguistics (CLUP).
This is a scholarly journal classified at level A4 in the Capes Qualis-Journals, Brazil (2017–2020). It brings together studies in the field of Discourse Studies, aiming to encompass diverse research approaches within this area. REDIS prioritze studies that integrate linguistic analysis.
The journal uses a double-blind peer review process and features thematic orientations for each issue inspired by topics addressed during the Annual International Conference of Discourse Analysis - JADIS, organized at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Universidade do Porto by the same institutions supporting the journal.
REDIS is published twice a year (July/December) and receives submissions in two call for papers. The editorial process is managed according to the timeline available under the Submissions tab.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Manuscripts submitted to REDIS will be evaluated by at least two external reviewers (double-blind peer review) chosen by the editorial board based on their scientific expertise related to the submitted work.
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that might affect the impartiality of their evaluation or declare themselves unqualified to assess a particular submission if necessary.
Reviewers will receive a review guide to assist them in evaluating the manuscripts. Usually, each reviewer will have three to four weeks to submit their review from the date they receive the manuscript. This deadline may be extended at the discretion of the editorial board, provided the extension does not compromise the journal’s publication schedule.
FREE ACCESS POLICY
REDIS provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public fosters greater global knowledge democratization.
NO ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES POLICY
REDIS does not use article processing charges (APCs). The journal does not impose any submission or processing fees for articles. Articles published in this journal incur no cost to the author.
ARCHIVING
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, enabling them to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes. Read more about it...
