Géneros do oral : pregões e chamamentos

Abstract

Our daily life is organized in speeches and by speeches at such an intrinsic and fundamental dimension that somehow the speakers’ relationship with language in use has been “naturalized”. Only recently, through the influence of various sociological scientific disciplines and directly by Conversational Analysis, the verbal interactions of everyday life got the attention of Language Sciences, traditionally more concerned with written discourse, especially the great institutional ones. Having as object of research the characteristics of genres of oral discourses that form complex communicative events such as fairs and outdoor markets, I intend to show that those communicative events are a genre of oral discourse, consisting of two well individualized subgenres. This generic classification is the fundamental objective of this paper. In the analysis of the data collected, situational, discursive and enunciative characteristics of verbal interactions shall be taken into account.
