REMOTE TEACHING IN TIMES OF A PANDEMIC
evaluation of the feelings of students in the Thematic representation of information course

This article presents the results of the research on remote teaching, in times of COVID-19, without teachers, students and universities being trained for such. Objective: capture feelings and perceptions that the students of Thematic Representation of Information: Indexing course of the UFC Library Science programme have about remote teaching in times of pandemic. Methodology: quantitative and qualitative research, with data collection through a questionnaire applied online to students from semesters 2020.1 to 2020.2. Results: fear was the feeling that most affected students (53%), then anxiety (26%) and 15.3% uncertainty, isolation and worry. The difficulties of adapting to remote teaching were a real torment: accompanying the classroom by computer (58.6%); maintaining contacts with colleagues by WhatsApp and e-mail (34%). Conclusion: the remote teaching modality, adopted in an emergent way, has brought negative consequences for the university learning process.
