This study aims to analyse how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can contribute to archival work from the perspective of Knowledge Organisation Systems (KOS). The aim is to understand how these technologies organise and use knowledge to generate information by-products and support the processes of organising, processing and retrieving information in archives. The research, which is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory in nature, is based on a literature review and analysis of theoretical studies and practical applications related to AI in the field of archives. The focus is especially on methods for learning, structuring and organising data and information using machine learning and deep learning. It is hoped to contribute to broadening discussions and debates, highlighting the possible contributions of AI to improving the organisation and systematisation of knowledge in archives, enabling new practices in archival processes.
