MEMORY AND DOCTORS-CULTURAL IDENTITY: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ORGANIZATION OF KNOWLEDGE IN WEBSISMEDICOS

This project aims to contribute to scientific development, particularly in the field of Information Science, Culture, and Luso-Brazilian Memory, by improving the WEBSISMEDICOS digital platform. The study explores new methods of organizing and representing knowledge, focusing on the lives and works of cultural physicians who stood out in fields beyond Medicine. The research adopts a documentary and bibliographic methodological approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis to conceive, implement and evaluate a taxonomy that optimizes access and navigation on the platform. Divided into five phases, the project includes the expansion of the theoretical framework, data collection and processing, comparison with existing models, and validation by experts. The ultimate goal is to enhance the accessibility and relevance of the informational system, preserving memories and promoting understanding of the cultural contributions of physicians from Brazil and Portugal of the 19th and 20th centuries.
