About the Journal

The journal Páginas a&b: arquivos e bibliotecas began to be published in 1997, every six months, being owned by the Gabinete de Estudos a&b. From 2008 onwards editorial partnerships were established with research units of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto - in 2008 with CETAC.MEDIA, then in 2014 with CIC.digital and, since 2019, the journal's edition became entirely under responsibility of the CITCEM (Centre for Transdisciplinary Research "Culture, Space and Memory").

From its inception to the present, the journal already has 3 series in its publication:

- 1^st series (1997-2007), in which 20 issues were published, in printed format, which have been made available online, as the editions run out;

- 2^nd series (2008-2012), with 10 issues published in an editorial partnership with the research center CETAC.MEDIA, which have also been made available online, as the print edition runs out;

- 3^rd series, in electronic format (2014 to present date).
