Abstract

Providing abundant urban sampling, this article, using cordel brochures, recurrent socio-cultural and ideo-mental factors are reconstituted, implied or patented in fashion diffusion (male and female) in the second half of the eighteenth century and end of the Old Regime, giving likewise account of contemporary satire and critical questioning of such phenomena.
