Resumo

This review is a recommendation for reading The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Health edited by Şebnem Susam-Saraeva and Eva Spišiaková. This opportune and long-needed vade mecum is authored by thirty-one scholars from various fields and more than ten institutions in several countries. Multiple aspects of translation and interpretation in health contexts are discussed in its pages, accompanied by thought-provoking future research directions, which highlight the topicality of health humanities and propose innovative and unexplored matters to research within translation and interpretation studies. This, together with the extensive references, notes, further reading suggestions, and related topics lists convey to the reader the breadth and depth of this interdisciplinary area.
