Celebridades, narcisismos e iconofilias na pós-modernidade

Abstract

In order to construct this text, we used the documentary ‘Truth or Dare’ with the aim of problematizing some epistemological contradictions or dilemmas in Madonna's career, considering her incorporation and performance of postmodern praxis and ethos. Madonna resorted to the saturation of media appeals and the use of social networks, creating a persona and spectacularizing her life to the service of fame, fact that made her an interesting archetype of the historical time in which we live. We are therefore interested in understanding it as an expression of the values that pervade postmodern culture. Simultaneously, we discuss and problematize the
importance of celebrities in the construction of postmodern cultural imaginary.
