Bibliometric and comparative analysis of publications
the cases of the journals Páginas a&b: arquivos e bibliotecas and Perspectivas em Ciência da Informação between 2016-2020

Open access journals have gathered increasing prominence as researchers understand the importance of communicating their research to the general public and not just to the scientific community. Journals such as Páginas a&b: arquivos e bibliotecas (Portugal) and Perspectivas da Ciência da Informação (Brazil) are good examples of this type of publication in the area of Information Science. In this sense, this study contributes with a bibliometric and comparative analysis of such publications between 2016-2020, in order to trace a trend profile based on them. In short, the themes diverge from management to the Information-Documentation professionals' technical issues.
