Quando a História entra pela porta ao lado: pensamento histórico e cidadania em Área de Integração
Abstract
This article analyses the subject Área de Integração in Portuguese vocational education as a space for developing historical literacy and critical citizenship. Drawing on the Aprendizagens Essenciais and key works in history education, it argues that history can be used to interpret themes such as democracy, Europe and sustainability. The discipline’s interdisciplinary nature is discussed as both an opportunity for dialogue among fields and a challenge for educating critical citizens.Downloads
