Notários de cá e de lá: a fronteira que os une: Norte de Portugal e Galiza (séculos XIV-XV)
Abstract
This study presents an ongoing investigation into the negotia drawn up by notaries in Northern Portugal and Galicia between the 14th and 15th centuries. Our aim is to find ways of pointing to the existence of regional boundaries in documentary production. We not only carry out a diplomatic analysis of various clauses, namely invocation, notification, disposition and corroboration, but also of the titles and appointments held by these officials, the places where the documents were written and the amounts charged for drawing them up.
