Call for papers

Guarecer. Revista Electrónica de Estudos Medievais is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. The journal is published exclusively online and welcomes original research articles resulting from scholarly investigation in the field of Medieval Studies.

The journal particularly encourages submissions focused on medieval writing, approached through comparative methodologies, philological analysis, and textual criticism, thus promoting interdisciplinary studies.

 

Language of Submission

Articles may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, French, or English.

 

Peer review

All submissions will undergo a peer-review process to ensure academic quality and scholarly rigour.

 

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted either by email to guareceronline@gmail.com or via the Faculty's OJS platform https://ojs.letras.up.pt/index.php/gua/index.

All submissions must also comply with the journal's bibliographic guidelines, available at Formatting and Bibliographical Norms.

 

Submission period

This Call for Papers is open on a rolling basis.

 

Costs / Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites, submission or publication fees.
