Abstract

A study of the relation between nature and city in Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen’s poetry conducted through the poems “Cidade” (from the book Poesia, 1944) and “Brasília” (published in Geografia, 1967). A comparison between the latter and the text “Brasília, cidade inventada”, written by Lucio Costa, concerning their artistic principles.
