Reflexões sobre a representação do espaço “português” na Historia Compostellana
Abstract
Resumo: Partindo da leitura da Historia Compostellana, o presente estudo trata o modo como os cronistas da Igreja de Santiago de Compostela, ao longo da primeira metade do século XII, entendiam e representaram o espaço “português” do seu tempo. Escrevendo ao serviço do prelado Diego Gelmírez (1100-1140), estes autores deixaram no seu relato várias considerações sobre o território a sul do Minho e o poder que as elites exerciam sobre ele, território que, à época, se ia gradualmente autonomizando em relação ao reino de Leão.
