Abstract

Se o tratado de Kadech (século XIII a. C.) é a prova mais evidente da diplomacia egípcia, ele não resume ou esgota o tema dentro da história faraónica. Se no século XV a. C., o Egipto é capaz de criar e manter um «império», muito o deve às suas estratégias políticas e às suas manobras diplomáticas. Faremos, por isso, uma análise centrada nos reinados que viram nascer o «império» egípcio, a sua «época dourada», que tem início com Tutmés III.
