Abstract
Rui Pires Cabral in his poetry, in which we find place for resistance, tries to subvert the spatial logic that regulates the worldwide relations; the poet does not despise the determinations of his own time, since he does not present himself as a savior prophet, he is equally imbibed in the limitations created and imposed by the contemporary (or post-modern) world; however, he deals with the different temporalities, so effaced; past and future are called back to life/ the poem, in terms of memory or perspectives, even though, past may reveal an experience of irrecoverable loss and future may not offer nothing such as hope.
